Christian Science
Christian Science is a worldwide Bible-based religion started in Lynn, Massachusetts, by Mary Baker Eddy in 1866. Our congregation has been an active part of the Lynn community since 1897.
Christian Science in Lynn
Lynn, Massachusetts, the “City of Firsts,” was the birthplace of Christian Science.
The beginnings of the Christian Science church in Lynn are linked with its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy. She lived in Lynn from 1864 to 1866, briefly in 1868 and then from 1870 to 1882.
It was in this city that the first demonstrations of Christian Science healing were made by Mrs. Eddy. Here she taught her first students from the Bible and wrote, “The Bible contains the recipe for all healing.”

Sunday School (10:45 a.m.)
Children and teens, come study the Bible and the teachings of Christ Jesus to develop your understanding about God’s love and laws—and the peace, happiness, and healing power they bring to your life.
Testimonies
Meet 7:30 Wednesday evenings to share testimonies of healing and how to live Christian Science. Meetings include readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook accompanied by prayer and related songs.
What We Believe
God is “the great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, pg. 587.) Christ Jesus is our Master Teacher and Way-Shower. We are committed to commemorating his word and works in our thoughts and actions, including healing through prayer.
